One accountant. His name on every return.
Tax Filed For You is run by Patrick Roper, an ICAEW chartered accountant. There is no sales team and no hand-off: the person you message is the person who prepares the return, files it and answers HMRC if HMRC asks.
Why this exists
Three groups of people are about to need a tax return done properly, at a price they can see before they pick up the phone. Construction subcontractors, who are owed a refund most years and are routinely charged a third of it. Landlords, who from April 2027 must file with HMRC five times a year instead of once. Employers, who during 2027 face a new agency enforcing holiday pay, reaching back to December 2025 and, under the proposals, six years in time.
None of that needs a big firm. It needs the arithmetic done right, by someone accountable, at a fixed fee.
About Patrick
Chartered accountant, qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Years in finance roles building forecasts and management accounts for operating businesses, and the founder ofBulkYard, a UK marketplace for construction materials, which is where the CIS side of this came from: a year of talking to groundworks and haulage firms whose subcontractors were paying refund firms far too much.

The rules this desk works to
- Every fee on the page before any detail is asked for.
- Refunds paid by HMRC to the client, never assigned to the firm.
- No claim that cannot be backed with a source or a number.
- If HMRC's free service would do the job, say so.
